LINDSAY BURTON, FOUNDER & DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING

Lindsay Burton is the Founder and Director of Programming of Kayo Conference Series LLC (“Kayo”).  Kayo curates industry events for professional women to advance themselves, connect with leaders, and champion their peers.  Kayo organizes six annual summits reaching 1,200 women annually in industries such as Private Equity, Venture Capital, Energy, Infrastructure, Credit and Real Estate.  Prior to founding Kayo, Lindsay held positions in private equity and investment banking in New York City.  She served as a Senior Associate at AlpInvest Partners, a subsidiary of the Carlyle Group, where she specialized in the sourcing, due diligence and execution of secondary private equity transactions.  Lindsay worked in the Private Fund Placement Group at Lehman Brothers where she assisted private equity managers on creating new private equity funds.  She received her B.A. in Comparative Literature and Economics from the University of Virginia.  She currently resides in Charlottesville, VA with her husband and two sons.  

 
JACOB DUFRENE, VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS 

Jacob Dufrene has over 10 years of experience in real estate, operations and event planning.  Prior to joining Kayo, Jacob served as Director of Operations for M2 Brokerage in New Orleans where he oversaw the day-to-day activities of a brokerage conducting both residential and commercial transactions and development in downtown New Orleans. In addition, leased and managed a small, brokerage-owned portfolio of properties as well as served as the lead Project Manager for a +$3MM commercial, historic redevelopment.  Prior to M2, Jacob served as the Principal of Southern Estate Management providing project, property and estate management services both domestically and abroad.  Jacob holds a B.A. from Louisiana State University. 

 
ALEXIS MACIAS, DIRECTOR OF PRIVATE EQUITY & VENTURE CAPITAL

Alexis Macias joins the Kayo team with several years of meeting planning experience. Prior to joining Kayo, Alexis served as the Director, Meeting Services for Easter Associates, an association management company based in Charlottesville, VA. Additionally, she served as the Associate Director and Executive Director for local medical associations. Prior to Easter Associates, Alexis lived in Chicago, IL where she handled state legislative affairs for several national medical associations. Alexis earned a B.A. from Elon University




KELLY GOOD, EVENT MANAGER

Kelly Good is an Event Manager with the Kayo Conference Series and focuses on the power, infrastructure, resources and energy sectors. Kelly joined Kayo Conference Series after completing a yearlong internship at the firm and completing a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.

 
ANGELA JONES, FINANCE MANAGER

Angela serves as the Finance Manager for Kayo Conference Series. She is a recent graduate of the University of Virginia McIntire School of Commerce with a degree in Accounting and Marketing.

 
 
LAURA POTTS, EVENT MANAGER

Laura Potts is an Event Manager with the Kayo Conference Series and focuses on the real estate sector. Laura joined Kayo Conference Series after serving as the Public Relations Manager for the Birmingham Zoo, Alabama’s largest tourist attraction. Laura earned a Bachelor of Arts from Birmingham-Southern College.
